The passion to reward excellence has been at the heart of our journey for decades. In November 1987, our founder, Engr. George Okoyo, created ACADA LIFE, an innovative educational game that won third place in the Innovation of the Year Award by Ikeja Jaycees at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island, Lagos. This early recognition marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to nurturing creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
From this early recognition, a lifelong commitment to creativity, problem-solving, and innovation was born.
Over the years, this vision evolved into targeted interventions in education. Confronted with the persistent decline in performance in science and mathematics across Nigerian schools, Point Engineering, Engr. Okoyo's company, introduced subject-specific awards in several schools across Rivers State. These awards were designed to spark curiosity, restore confidence, and inspire young learners to pursue excellence in science and mathematics.
